HAND CARVED WOODEN CIGAR STORE INDIANS Our wooden cigar store wooden Indians are hand carved by one of three master woodcarvers. Each wood Indian carver learns at young age, from his family, what to do. The wooden Cigar Store Indian handy craft carving techniques are passed from generation to generation, from the previous four generations, resulting in the wooden Indian carvers we work with today. Several people use their handy craft skills, hand carving, sanding, coloring and selecting the wood for pristine wooden Indians, is a "hands on" learning process. All our wooden Indian carving is done, in the one remote, (no concrete here), village near the on the border in Burma/Thailand. We oversee the process, from start to finish, working directly with each carver. Only the three most experienced master carvers, carve Indians for us. They have a combined 110+ years master carving experience. Likewise, the finish sanders, who modify and "finish shape" the carving have many years of experience. then the final application of color is applied by another highly skilled and talented painter No two Indians are the same; similar but suitably different, when shown side by side. Yes we can duplicate your Indian if you want a twin. Our wooden Indians are the best handy crafted wooden Indians in USA today, made by "top of the game" carvers, craftsmen, finish sanders, woodcarvers and painters, with the look of gallery, artistic, lifelike results possible. The Carved Wooden Indians are copies of Old Cigar Indians, not original Art. They are the best combination of handy crafters work we know. Seeing one of our carvers Indians, (or one you bought from us) side by side, with other wood carved Indians, including the apprentice carvers who work with our master carvers, will make you smile. The work detail and lack of personality of other carvers is obvious. Our Old Cigar Store Indians are, without a doubt, the best and most lifelike available, on a limited basis, anywhere. When we engage a master carver to carve a wooden Indian, we discuss the color, look, feel, emotion and design; everything else is in the mind of the master carver, his hands and the log upon which he sits. Each master carvers can work from a picture and duplicate it, with life like results. Throughout the year, three master carvers are busy carving for us. We work directly with each family, to follow the details and finishing. The finish sander modifies the carvers work, then enhanced with hand painting. When finished, each Indian is individually packed and crated for shipping. You will find our quality, crate shipping and attention to detail "top shelf". Also, we have a limited selection of wooden carousel horses, from the same carvers. The entire complex process, starting with the selection and position of the wood for carving, final design, color through finish, takes about one year to complete. A team of 6 - 8+ people make one carousel horse or large wooden Indian. The master carver, his wife, apprentice helpers and young children. The finish sanding and application of non toxic, lead free color is a art-craft in itself. I'm sure you will like the wooden Indian you select. If not, return it for a 100% "no hassle" refund, less the original shipping and crate cost (if any) to you. You pay the shipping and any packing cost to send it back to us. We are moving from Humble, TX to Buckeye, AZ and open late 2009.
